Josh Tomlinson is a photographer and visual storyteller whose work explores the quiet, often unnoticed moments of human life and the world around us. Based in the Pacific Northwest and frequently on the road for work in live events and video production, Josh brings a unique sensitivity to his photography, one shaped by the rhythms of travel and the solitude of backstage environments, and a deep respect for the everyday.

His photographs, whether taken in the streets of Finland, the landscapes of Iceland, or the corners of Tokyo, are rooted in observation rather than performance. There's a patience to his process: he waits, watches, and frames with a sense of timing shaped by his background in live video. The result is work that doesn’t shout for attention.

Josh’s street photography has been recognized by LensCulture’s Street Photography Awards, and his landscape photography has been exhibited in gallery spaces in San Diego, Barcelona, Thailand and South Africa. A recent portfolio review noted how his images feel "intimate without being invasive"—a reflection of his instinct to approach his subjects with empathy, not spectacle.

He publishes photography zines under the name Lagom Visuals, focusing on essays that feel personal without being self-centered. His series often grow organically—from recurring moments he notices, like men waiting alone in public spaces, to recurring themes across countries: stillness, distance, light.
